Charles du Pontavice is an experienced lawyer, graduated from ESSEC Business School (MBA program), Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (ENS) and Paris-Dauphine University.
His career began in 2008 with Gide Loyrette Nouel, a premier international law firm. He offered legal advice to companies within the Industry and Banking fields in France and Eastern Europe on legal matters including Business Law, Banking & Financial Law, and Corporate Law.
In 2010, he specialized in Tax, Legal & Compliance recruitment for both large firms, and SME’s (industry, large-scale distribution, services etc.) as well as large players in the Banking & Finance fields.
In 2013, he joined Morgan Philips Executive Search as Head of the Geneva Office, managing particularly the HR/Tax, Legal, Compliance & Corporate Finance practices in addition to the Banking, City & Fintech practice for Switzerland.
Since July 2016, he is the Managing Director of Fyte and Morgan Philips Executive Search in Switzerland.
Jean François runs Morgan Philips Banking & City globally out of Paris and London. He provides HR/Strategic Advice as well as Recruitment and Carreer Management assistance to organizations and decision makers based in the EMEA Region. His professional experience includes 18 years of successful track-record in handling international executive search assignments. He has dealt with searches in over 15 countries and executed numerous "C” level mandates (CEO/COO/CFO/CAO/CRO/CIO/Sales/Marketing/Communications/Tax, Legal & Compliance/Human Resources/Controlling/Risk Management/ALM/Finance/M&A/Corporate Development) in a variety of economic sectors majoring in Financial Services, Asset & Wealth Management, Private Banking & Private Equity.
Jean-François started his career In Banking & Asset Management and moved to Executive Search in London with the City based boutique ARMSTRONG International. Since then, he has held several practice and geographic management positions with Global Executive Search firms. Jean-François has lived and worked in the UK , France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and South America. He holds a Graduate Degree in Political Science from SCIENCES PO (Strasbourg) and a Masters Degree from the LONDON SCHOOL of ECONOMICS.
