Morgan Philips Group announces strategic acquisition in Europe!
There is a real correlation between vocation and exceptional performance within a company.
Psychologists say that finding out why you were born helps you live in a better way. Doctors confirm this statement; having a goal in life allows one to be less susceptible to illnesses.
Your vocation in terms of leadership reflects what you really are deep within yourself ; what makes you unique.
What you have to consider when defining what your vocation is, is how you accomplish your work and why.
Ask your close ones what they believe is unique about you and what they would miss about you if were no more.
Your vocation has to resonate within you.
It does not have to be ambitious, or flatter any sort of ego, or even be based on a specific cause.
To be successful in this discovery exercise, you have to be able to detach yourself from what your bosses, friends, parents, publicists… have to day about what you should be.
Understanding why you were born enables you to have a clear vision of what you wish to accomplish in your professional and personal life.
Identify your strengths, your values, your passions. Look for the challenges and tasks that stimulate you and which give you comfort. Go back to your childhood; what did you enjoy doing? How did life events shape you? Finally, what do you enjoy doing in your present life?
Lastly, it is possible that what you are doing at the moment does not correspond in any way to your vocation.
It is not the end of the world, try and see if you can slightly alter the way you work or if you can add an activity which better corresponds to your vocation and which could eventualy completely replace the previous one.
In conclusion, so as not to widen the range of all the candidates that we meet who do not have a precise idea of their vocation or who do not have a specific plan to illustrate their vocation in a practical way, thus failing to achieve ambitious personal and professional oobjectives, I felt it was important to share this Mark Twain quotation.
Hence you can take on this George Bernard Shaw quotation: «This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one»
