Until recently the focus has been primarily on the consumer end. But today if you think about the massive amount of information a company keeps on their employees (skills, demographic profiles, career history…) it is a pity that all this human capital data is widely untouched.
The more HR department provide data about the efficiency of different strategies, the more board members will see them as indispensable business partners. At a time when attracting, developing and retaining the right talent is often the key market place differentiation among firms and HR departments are being cut back, the help of big data can reverse this trend.
